Customer Review: This book is such a great read. Even if you have not ever been diagnosed with Hypothyroid, you should read this book. Especially if you haven't.
The information in the book is eye opening. Now I know for sure why I feel the way I do and know why certain people in my family died.
I have switched my meds to desiccated thyroid hormone as indicated in the book. It's just a month and I already see an improvement from my Synthroid.
This book may have saved my life.

Customer Review: This book was an extreme bargain. I was very pleased. Looked new, except it look like it was on a bottom of a box that got dropped. The binding was a little krinkled, like the review said, but it doesn't effect the quaility or usefullness of the book. Excellent bargain

Customer Review: While I feel like there is some important information missing from this book, its not meant to be a complete text and is supposed to be supplemented with other material. I am using this along with Step up to Step 2 and USMLE World ? bank. I feel like I'm getting an adequate exposure to all topics this way. With that being said, I have't taken my test yet...

Customer Review: I enjoy reading about science/medical issues but have more of a liberal arts background than anything else and found this book nearly impossible to put down. A little bit into reading it, I jumped into the pool to track down my husband to let him know that if ever we or anyone we knew needed hernia surgery, there was a specific place in Canada we needed to go to. I was equally delighted to report to him about the uncertainty of the cause of panic attacks in a man who was having separate brain surgery and when they zapped a specific area in the brain, for which the response was normally a tickling sensation in the chest area, he responded with full-blown panic attack symptoms. That was the ap...

Customer Review: What is in the book: This is a stand-alone atlas of Human Gross Anatomy. The pictures are all painted drawings, with some clinical images mixed in (CT/MRI). These images are scattered throughout the book at strategic places and highly complement the material being presented. It is actually a translation (and possibly relabeling) of a German anatomy atlas. The images are top-rate and finely detailed. It is hands down one of the best atlases I have seen. I was trained on the Netter series, and I like this one much better. I especially like that this book includes tract diagrams for the neuroanatomy section, something often missing from anatomy atlases. Even though the pictures are dra...

Customer Review: I bought this book as i have just been told i have an under active thyroid. No other health problems.I asked if there was anything i could do to help myself, no came the reply, then i ordered this book from Amazon that is written by an American. Much to mysurprise there is food groups, supplements, life style choices that you can make that may have an effect on your thyroid.Surprise suprise, why is it you only find these things out from the Americans!

Customer Review: was ok except could not locate some items, would have been better to get handheld software since I use that a lot. This was a required text for class - but we really did not use much. Should have gotten software instead.
