Customer Review: I bought this book for my 4th year pediatric acting internship. I thought that it was very helpful. Most of the residents at my school use this book for reference. I would recommend it, especially as a quick reference for pediatric doses of medications.

Customer Review: This book is so bad my school is switching it out after only one semester of use.
The book is too wordy. There are newly introduced terms with no definition given until several paragraphs or often pages later. The terms are not bolded in any way. Some are in italics but you're so cross-eyed from reading the small print that everything looks italicized. No glossary to help you out either.
Finding information is a huge time commitment since the index is nearly useless. There are few things you can look up as common terms and find what you want.

Customer Review: Although this is a great book, it really isn't as good as other books in the series. I stilled enjoyed using this book for the same reason that I loved using the other case files series: fast read, clinically relevant, good for shelf exam. However, this book seemed to have some strange questions at the end of each chapter. While some of the questions were excellent, others were not well thought out and tested on some very strange things that would never show up on any shelf examination. Aside from that, the clinical cases presented are very relevant to what you will see in the clinic and on exams. Good choice for a quick read through one week before an exam.

Customer Review: Every topic I encountered on the shelf exam, was covered in blueprints. It explains everything thoroughly which means that you have to read slowly but when the shelf exam comes around you'll be happy you did.

Customer Review: I love all the clinical companions to my nursing texts. This is great to toss in my clinical bag and can fit into my scrub top pocket too. You certainly couldn't use this in place of the text for tests and such but is great for a review and is broken up and indexed nicely.
