Customer Review: I use the book as I am studying my notes and do a little a few times a week to prep for my boards in July. It is organized into small sections so one can focus on specific material such as genetics and then look back at their notes if necessary.

Customer Review: I recommend getting this book right at the beginning of nursing school. It was very helpful throughout my 2 years of school. I would look at some of my classmate's NCLEX books and this is the best one in comparison. It's easy to understand and is divided by body systems and medications. It is a thorough study book with a very helpful CD. It played a big part in helping me pass the NCLEX exam the first time.

Customer Review: This is a great book, but I think I really got the most out of it after spending hours reviewing pathophys from a more comprehensive source (like Robbins). So if you have forgotten a lot of details from the first 2 years of med school, this book probably shouldn't be your first and only line of defense. But if you already have the fundamentals down and are using this as a refresher, it is definitely the best around. I agree with some of the other reviewers that the outline format may not be the most user-friendly style, especially for my ADD brothers and sisters.

Customer Review: Gave this as a Christmas gift to a med. student about to go out on rotations. Greatly appreciated. All present enjoyed reading through it. Fits nicely in a gown pocket for fast reference. Readable by a layperson. Highly recommended.

Customer Review: Very helpful! I wouldn't have known what to expect on the test without it. There are review problems for every subject plus a practice exam. I definitely would not have gotten the grade that I did without it.

Customer Review:
I have benefited much from this book in test preparation. If you are a medical student and want in-depth Physiology studies you could benefit much from larger books like Guyton's but if It is time to prepare for tests and want a book that will give you concise information, help you to prepare well, rich with questions that teach you how to think whether after each chapter you study or at the end of the book, this is a great book to read and use. the price is reasonable too !

Customer Review: Overall, this guide was very helpful and I did score well on the NLN exam. The practice tests were particularly useful, and I think taking all of them is essential to doing well on the real test.
That said, this guide suffers from some atrocious editing, particularly in the science section (for example, they give the wrong quantity for a mole in the chemistry section: 6.02 +... instead of 6.02 x...). If you know the material already and you're just using this book for review, then you'll be able to pick out the errors. If anything seems off, check a secondary source. I even noticed a couple of questions in the science practice tests that had the wrong answers in the answe...

Customer Review: I was under the impression that these would be a stack of flashcards, instead I got a paperback novel of meds. Not sure how helpful these will be to my studying since I haven't really picked up the book since I found out they weren't flash cards. =(
